GEAR

Intro

I use Nikon gear. My first DSLR was a Nikon D90 DX crop camera which I used for 4 years. The camera did not survive a massive shower during an outdoor trip in Austria. The assurance company was so kind to give me a full reimbursement. This allowed me to make the step towards a full frame camera, the Nikon D600. Unfortunately, this camera suffered from significant dust problems caused by a problem in the shutter. After 3 attempts of the Dutch Nikon service department to repair the camera, they decided to offer me a brand new D610 24 MP full frame camera instead. That's what I call service.

In April 2019, I decided to buy the ultimate professional landscape camera, the Nikon D850. This sharpness of this camera is beyond all expectations. You can not have anything better.

Lenses are well-knowm to be the most critical for image quality, hence I spend most of my money into real glass. I own now the `holy trinity` lenses of Nikon. These are the 3 super sharp professional full frame F2.8 lenses of Nikon starting from 14 mm up to 200 mm. For nature and landscape photography you can not wish any better.

For landscape photography filters are a must to bring images to the next level. As I use my 14-24mm F2.8 as a default lens, the obvious choice was to invest in the LEE SW150 filter systeem.
