My Story

I was 20 years old when I started to like photography. My first camera was a Minolta camera with 2 zoom lenses and a special macro lens. I have to say, I made nice images if I look back at old printed books and taken into account that Adobe Lightroom did not exist in those days.

It is the classic story, study, work and kids is not the best combination if you want to spend time on photography. Back in 2003, I bought my first Fuji digital compact camera. The camera was very small, but great to learn what digital technology could bring for my photography. A few years later, I decided to seriously pick up my hobby again and bought myself a real DSLR, the Nikon D90.

I prefer to spend time in the outdoor. Getting out of bed early and enjoying the silence of nature slowly waking up is the time I love most. I have to honour to live in a beautiful part in the south of the Netherlands, close to a few National Parks. Together with the typical Dutch weather it is this combination that makes it great to be a landscape photographer.

On this website I bring my work together. I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed making the image. My mantra is: "Bad weather is never an excuse not to go out, it is always good weather to take a picture"
